Over 100 Pakistani Terrorists Active In Kashmir; PM Modi To Expose Pak At UNGA: Sources

As per the sources, the list contains as many as 273 names of terrorists operating in Kashmir. Of the 273 terrorists, 166 are local, while 107 are planted by Pakistan.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will expose Pakistan internationally over cross-border terrorism and its 'nefarious' terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir, during his address at the world’s largest diplomatic forum, the 74th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session, sources informed on Monday. In the forum where leaders from over 190 countries are set to take part, Prime Minister Modi will present a list exposing the names of active terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, sources have claimed. As per the sources, the list contains as many as 273 names of terrorists operating in Kashmir. Of the 273 terrorists, 166 are local, while 107 are from Pakistan. Among the terrorists active in the valley, 100 terrorists are affiliated to Hizbul Mujahideen, 112 to Lashkar-e-Taiba, 58 to Jaish-e-Mohammed, 3 to Al Badr. Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated after New Delhi on August 5 revoked Jammu and Kashmir's special status and bifurcated it into two union territories. Reacting to India's move on Kashmir, Pakistan downgraded its diplomatic ties with New Delhi and expelled the Indian High Commissioner. Despite desperate attempts to internationalise the matter, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan failed to get international traction on the issue. Khan is scheduled to hold bilateral talk with US President Donald Trump on Monday on the sidelines of the UNGA session in New York. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also arrived in New York to take part in the UNGA session and deliver his second address at the globe’s largest diplomatic forum. Watch report:
