Delhi Shocker: 73-year-old woman found dead in her home with throat slit

The deceased woman's husband had gone out and when he returned home at around 6.30 pm, he found his wife's body on the sofa with her throat slit.

Delhi Shocker: The body of a 73-year-old woman was found at her house in New Delhi on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Savitri Pandey. The old woman was found dead yesterday in her flat in Sarita Vihar Pocket L with her throat slit. Savitri lived with her husband, while her son, daughter and grandson live nearby, a senior police officer said, reported PTI. The deceased's husband had gone out and when he returned home at around 6.30 pm, he found his wife's body on the sofa with her throat slit. Delhi Shocker: 73-year-old woman found dead in her home with throat slit During the preliminary investigation, the police said that it was found that the house had not been ransacked as no item was missing from the home, therefore the intention of looting by the convict was ruled out by the police. Also, there was no forced entry by any outsider that indicates someone known would have entered the house. Several teams have been formed to look for clues. The investigation is underway. Police are probing all angles to ascertain the sequence of events.
