TV actress Aakanksha Singh roped in to play lead role in 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' season 2?

Ekta Kapoor & Balaji Telefilms have reportedly started working on the second season of much-loved Star Plus show 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein'.

Ekta Kapoor's long-running Star Plus show 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein', featuring Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel in lead roles of Ishita and Raman respectively, completed 5 years last year in December. The show, currently airing at 10:30pm, is fetching decent TRPs in the late night time slot and is a regular slot leader. There is a constant buzz that 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' will go off-air in June. While it is yet to be confirmed, the latest reports suggest that the makers are set to bring the second season of 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' and a popular name might play the female lead in the show. Speaking about the popular Star Plus show, sources inform Tellychakkar that, "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is expected to wrap-up by end of May or by beginning of June." Divyanka Tripathi's 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' began in December 2013 and went on to become one of the most loved TV shows. 'Raman' and 'Ishita' became iconic characters and the viewers are still in love in them even after 5 years. The fans are surely going to miss 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein', IF the show is going off-air. Later, she continued her role in the second season of 'Naa Bole Tum...'. After the two seasons of 'Na Bole tum..', Akanksha went on to feature in shows like 'Savdhaan India', 'Gulmohar Grand' and was last seen on TV in 'Box Cricket League' in 2016.
