Nach Baliye 9 to get DELAYED, Star Plus to launch ‘Dil Jeetegi Desi Girl 2’ first?

New Delhi: Dance-based reality shows are quite popular on the small screen. While Colors TV will launch ‘Dance Deewane 2’ from next month in weekend slot, Zee TV is gearing up for ‘Dance India Dance 7’, which will mark the TV debut of Kareena Kapoor Khan. Fans are also waiting for ‘Nach Baliye 9’ to hit the airwaves. We had earlier informed you that the makers of the show are currently busy roping in contestants for the new season of ‘Nach Baliye’. This time, ex-couples will compete against real-couples on the dance floor. ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ actor Aly Goni and his former girlfriend Natasa Stankovic are rumoured to participate in the show. ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ actress Rubina Dilaik and her husband Abhinav Shukla have been confirmed to shake a leg in ‘Nach Baliye 9’. Despite the huge buzz surrounding the show; it seems the fans will have to wait for some time before it goes on air. A report in a portal has suggested that ‘Nach Baliye 9’ might get delayed as the channel is planning to launch another reality show. Yes, you read that right. Star Plus is reportedly planning to ‘Dil Jeetegi Desi Girl 2’ in its weekend slot. For those who are not aware, ‘Dil Jeetegi Desi Girl’ aired on Imagine TV in 2010. As per the format of ‘Dil Jeetegi..’, the contestants had to live in villages and also perform the tasks given to them. From making cow dungs to cooking food, the contestants had to prove that they could survive in a rural setting. ‘Kasam Se’ actress Roshni Chopra was the winner of ‘Dil Jeetegi Desi Girl’. Star Plus is willing to delay the new season of ‘Nach Baliye’ and instead launch another show, which will feature popular female celebs, the report in IBTimes said. Here's a look at the first episode of 'Dil Jeetegi Desi Girl'! Talking about ‘Nach Baliye 9’, ‘Bepannaah’ actress Jennifer Winget and comedian Sunil Grover are rumoured to host the show.
