CONFIRMED! Aamna Sharif To Replace Hina Khan As 'Komolika' In 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay'!

Ekta Kapoor's 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', featuring Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes and Karan Singh Grover in lead roles, is one of the most loved daily soaps on TV currently. TV actress Hina Khan won hearts with her portrayal of stylish vamp 'Komolika' in 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' however she moved out of the show earlier this year to focus on films. As reported earlier, 'Komolika' is making a comeback in the show and makers are looking for Hina Khan's replacement. The show has completed one year today (25th September) and the whole team is beaming with joy. It would have been easy to stay in my comfort zone and come back with a love story, but that wouldn’t have satiated me as an actor. It’s always a different kind of rush to surprise your audience. So, when I was offered the role of Komolika, I instinctively knew that this is what will challenge me the most as an actor." Earlier, known actresses including Jasmin Bhasin, Gauahar Khan and Karishma Tanna were reportedly in contention for the role of 'Komolika'. For the first time in her career, she'll be seen playing a negative role in 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay'. Now, it'll be interesting to see if the viewers will accept her as new 'Komolika' or not. In 2009, she made her Bollywood debut with the film 'Alloo Chaat' opposite Aftab Shivdasani' and went on to feature in films like 'Aao Wish Karein', Shakal Pe Mat Jaa' and was last seen on big screen in 'Ek Villain' as Riteish Deshmukh's wife.
