Beyhadh 2: CONFIRMED! Ashish Chowdhary Joins Jennifer Winget, To Play Shivin Narang's Father In The 2nd Season

'Dhamaal' fame Bollywood actor Ashish Chowdhary who was last seen in Colors show 'Dev' confirms joining 'Beyhadh 2' which stars Jennifer Winget and Shivin Narang in lead roles

While the lead jodi of the 2nd season of 'Beyhadh' are confirmed to be Shivin Narang and Jennifer Winget with the latter reprising her obsessive lover role of 'Maya', there have been many names making rounds as the third lead.  Earlier, one of the TV actors, 'Naamkarann' fame Viraf Patel and 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani' fame Siddhant Karnick were speculated to be the third lead in Beyhadh and later Bollywood actor Ashish Chowdhry's name also made headlines. Finally it is confirmed who will join Jennifer-Shivin in 'Maya's revenge story and it is none other than 'Dhamaal' fame actor  Ashish Chowdhry. While 'Beyhadh' story revolved around 'Maya Mehrotra's obsessive love for Arjun Sharma(Kushal Tandon), her hatred towards his childhood friend Saanjh Mathur(Aneri Vajani), 2nd season 'Beyadh 2' will tell the story of 'Maya' who falls in love with a mature guy(Ashish) who ends up dumping her and she will set out to seek revenge, making his son(Shivin) fall in love with her. Ashish Chowdhry just confirmed doing 'Beyhadh 2' taking to social media and wrote- "#Beyhadh2 is now turf. It’s made so much sense. Need all your love. Let’s do this #Twamily". Speaking about his character of a mature man and a father on the show, Ashish Chowdhry told TOI: "I agree that it is completely Jenny’s (Jennifer) show. However, that’s not the approach I want to have towards my career — that I will play only titular characters and should be the solo lead; the role should be creatively satisfying, that’s all. Truly fulfilling performances are the ones that come with stepping out of comfort zones and doing something out of the box, which I am doing with this show. I don’t want to repeat myself, as it tends to get boring." Ashish, who was last seen in TV show 'Dev' series playing a detective, will play a young father ageing through the show in 'Beyhadh 2' and Shivin will play his son. He will reportedly don the salt and pepper look for this role.

Ashish further adds: "I have no qualms about ageing on screen. I will play a cupboard if it is challenging enough. Many actors have played fathers to co-stars their age, and been appreciated for it. On TV, I have the liberty to be selective, which isn’t the case with films. I was stuck in the comic zone and felt stagnated, but I can explore various shades on the small screen." Jennifer on the other hand is preparing for the first promo of the show and she posted pictures from the rehearsals of her aerial act for the same. She captioned the pics- "She’s crossing all boundaries of crazy this time. Ready to get entangled in her “Maya”jaal? #Beyhadh2 #MayaAgain".
