Daughter Khatija made headlines last week when father Rahman received flak on social media over Khatija's appearance in a burqa at 10 year celebration of 'Slumdog Millionaire' recently.

Rahman has three children, two daughters named Raheema & Khatija and son Ameen.

The Oscar-winning music director was attending Grammys with London-based Prashant Mistry, New York-based Falguni Shah and US-based Satnam Kaur, who were nominated in different categories for their albums 'Symbol', 'Falu's Bazaar' and 'Beloved' respectively. None of them could register a win at the biggest music awards night of the year.

Rahman opted for a a black and grey suit for the ceremony, while Raheema chose an all-black ensemble. Caption - "With Mr and Mrs Dinesh Paliwal"

The 61st Grammy Awards, held at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, saw many popular music artists including Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Janelle Monae, Camila Cabello, Post Malone among others came together to celebrate last year’s successful music albums and artists.

Music maestro was present at the 2019 Grammy Awards ceremony with his daughter Raheema.  The composer, who won two Grammy awards in 2009 for his work on "Slumdog Millionaire", posted several pictures from the awards night, which saw Kacey Musgraves, Childish Gambino, Cardi B and Qunicy Jones create history in various categories. He captioned this before show started at Staples Centre, captions it- "All set to go for Grammy Awards night !"
