SC decides Jan 10 as next date of hearing on Ayodhya land dispute case

Background

New Delhi: Amid the heated political picture of the country, the Supreme Court heared the land allotment case in Ayodhya and  decided to start hearing the case from January 10 onward. The court declared that a 3-judge bench will be hearing the case from the next date of hearing. All the required proceedings have been completed in the case. Therefore, it is being believed that soon court will begin its proceedings in the case. 

 Bench led by Apex Court Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice Kishan Kaul will hear the case at 11am on Friday. As per the government, it will request the court to hear the case as soon as possible.

Friday is a day dedicated to new cases. That is why every case is heard at speed; therefore even the hearing for Ayodhya case would not go on for very long. This hearing is especially taking place to decide on the fast track hearing on the case. The court is likely to announce that on which day a special bench will hear the case.

The parties who are linked to the case will also demand a regular hearing in the case and the hearing should end by a decided time. It is important to note that so far a 3-Judge bench has heard the Ayodhya case, today; the matter will be heard in front of a 2-judge bench.

 Matter pending since 8 years: The Allahabhad High Court had pronounced a verdict in the case on September 30, 2010. The court had also agreed on presence of Hindu temple before mosque; but gave an order of equally dividing the land in 3 parts. All 3 parties therefore approached the apex court against Allahabad High Court order. The matter is pending ever since.

Reacting on court order MP Rakesh Sianha said that court order is disappointing and has been delayed. He further said that court is serious on issues like Sabrimala, but isn’t on issues related to Lord Ram

On speaking on SC order Mahant Paramdas said that the Supreme Court has taken the matter seriously and it seems that the matter will be heard judiciously from January 10. If not, the same could have internal conflicts in politics.

The Supreme Court postpones the hearing for Ayodhya dispute to January 10. As per sources, a 3 judge bench is likely to hear the case. The hearing which continued for 60 seconds, did not see any arguments from either side

The hearing in The Supreme Court over the case pertaining to land dispute in Ayodhya is scheduled to begin at 11am today. The court is also likely to decide on 1st date of final hearing in the case today.
