LIVE

Background
NEW DELHI: After one of the deadliest terror attacks in JK's three decades of militancy, a suicide bomber from Pakistan-based JeM terror group rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a CRPF bus in Pulwama district, killing at least 39 personnel and leaving many critically wounded, India on Friday summoned Pakistan's top envoy and lodged strong protest over the killing. Arun Jaitley told that India will press for early adoption of a draft convention on international terrorism pending with the United Nation since 1986. Addressing the press after the Cabinet Committee on Securities (CCS) meeting in Delhi on Friday Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that MFN status to Pakistan stands withdrawn. India has accorded the “Most Favoured Nation” status to all members of the World Trade Organisation in accordance with provisions of Article 1 of General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, 1994. Besides Pakistan, India had accorded MFN status to Bangladesh and Vietnam.
The Pak based outfit Jaish-a-Mohammed (JeM) claimed responsibility of Thursday's terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir which has raised questions over the role of the Pakistan spy agency, ISI, in the gruesome attack. Mobile internet services have been suspended in Jammu today. Sources say Jaish wanted to inflict maximum casualties; hence it attacked the CRPF convoy instead of Army which comparatively carries lesser personnel.
