Bengaluru: India added another feather to its glittering list of achievements in the outer space after ISRO's second moon mission Chandrayaan-2 got successfully launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. Chandrayaan-2 took off board the most powerful GSLV-Mk-III rocket dubbed ‘Baahubali’. The launch took place amid cloudy skies on Monday, a week after the lift-off was aborted due to a technical snag. The much-awaited lift-off took place at 2:43 pm. Chandrayaan-2 was India's second mission to the moon following Chandrayaan-1, which was the first Indian lunar probe under Chandrayaan program. It was launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation in October 2008, and operated until August 2009. The mission included a lunar orbiter and an impactor.
