TMC MLA seen asking party cadres to chase and attack Central force jawans on poll duty

Addressing party cadres, Ghosh said “If you want to win a war, there’s nothing fair or unfair, democratic or undemonstrative way of winning it. You have to win it by any means”.

New Delhi: In a shocking video, Trinamool Congress MLA Ratna Ghosh Kar from Chakdaha can be seen inciting violence and asking TMC cadres to chase and attack central force jawans on election duty. The video which has gone viral dates back to yesterday i.e. April 15, 2019. The video was recorded during a closed door meeting with TMC members held at Simurali, Chakdaha, Nadia district of Bengal. Addressing party cadres, Ghosh said “If you want to win a war, there’s nothing fair or unfair, democratic or undemonstrative way of winning it. You have to win it by any means”. He further said, “I have seen it in 2016 elections, how central force beat up our boys, there was bloodbath. This time, it is even more challenging, but there’s nothing to be scared”. “I’ll go to each and every booth and we will not care about the central forces. And if the central forces are pro-active, I will request the Mahila Morcha members to pick up broomsticks and chase them away from our area” the leader added. The incident has spurred a controversy. No action has been taken against the leader so far.
