Trump denies of any deal with Democrats on DACA

Washington D.C. [U.S.A], September 14 (ANI):U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday refuted reports that he had struck a deal with Democrats on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi declared they reached a tentative pact with him to pursue to a legislative fix on the DACA.

"No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote," Trump said in a series of tweets.

"The WALL, which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built," he wrote.

e to be built," he wrote.

The Trump administration announced last week that it was ending former President Barack Obama's program of DACA that offered a temporary reprieve from deportation to certain young immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children.

On Wednesday night, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, said in a statement, following a dinner with Trump that they agreed to "enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that's acceptable to both sides."

The White House quickly reacted, saying that while border security and DACA were discussed, the President didn't agree to exclude funding for the border wall from the package.(ANI)
