'Take That' cancel three more concerts following terror attack; bomber identified

New Delhi: Monday’s bombing at the Manchester Arena which killed 22 people has forced British boy band Take That to cancel three concerts at the venue. The "Back for Good" hitmakers have called off their gigs after previously announcing they would be cancelling their show in Liverpool on May 23 as a mark of respect to the victims and their families after 22 people were killed and more than 50 were injured by the explosion, reported Telegraph. According to news agency PTI, a statement was released by Manchester Arena which read: "Due to the tragic events in Manchester last night and the ongoing police investigation, the scheduled concerts for Thursday 25, Friday 26 and Saturday 27 May at Manchester Arena have been postponed. Further details will be released as soon as possible." In a statement, offering their respects, the band had said, "Out of respect to all of the people and their families that were affected by the horrific incident last night at The Manchester Arena, we have decided to postpone our show tonight in Liverpool. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all." The perpetrator of the bombing at US pop star Ariana Grande’s concert is said to be a 22-year-old Libyan. Greater Manchester Police identified the attacker as Salman Abedi. Born in Manchester, he is the second youngest among four children of a Libyan refugee couple who came to the UK to escape the Gaddafi regime, media reports here said.
