Saudi Arabia asks its citizens to leave Lebanon immediately

Jeddah [Saudi Arabia], November 10 (ANI): Saudi Arabia has asked its citizens residing in Lebanon to leave the country as soon as possible.

"We ask our citizens to immediatley leave #Lebanon," Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry said in a tweet.

"Due to the situations in Lebanon, the official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Saudi nationals visiting or residing in Lebanon are asked to leave the country as soon as possible." the Ministry said in a statement.

Saudi Arabia also asked its citizens not to travel to Lebanon from any other international destinations.

Kuwait has also asked its nationals to leave Lebanon immediately, citing safety considerations as the reason for the advisory.

The development comes after Lebanon's Prime Minister Saad Hariri unexpectedly resigned in a televised address from Riyadh, and said that he feared for his life.

Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia had also accused Lebanon of declaring war against it, citing the presence of Iranian-backed Hezbollah members in its government. (ANI)
