PM Putin assassination plot uncovered


Moscow: Ukrainian
and Russian security services have uncovered a group plotting an
assassination attempt on Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, the
state-run Channel One reported Monday.

The group of criminals,
who were already on the international wanted list, were detained in the
Ukrainian city of Odessa.

According to the TV channel, the gang
was planning to assassinate Putin in Moscow, soon after the presidential
elections which will take place March 4.
