Pashtun, Baloch activists discuss atrocities by Pakistan Army in FATA

Kabul [Afghanistan], October 11 (ANI): The Pashtun and Baloch activists recently gathered in Afghanistan's Kabul to discuss about the atrocities carried out by the Pakistan Army in their region.

Held under the aegis of the National Movement of Afghanistan, a political party, it invited delegates, including Wakil Shah Faqirzada and Rashid Khattak from Peshawar and Mashal Takar, founder of Great Afghanistan Movement from Canada.

The speakers discussed atrocities by the Punjabi Army through two army operations - Operation Zarz-e-Azb and Rad-ul-Fasaad.

The Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies had victimised the Pashtuns, who were living in North and South Waziristan. During these military operations, the homes of the local people were destroyed.

Many innocent civilians were abducted and killed by the armed forces.

Rashid Khattak elaborated on how the Punjab-dominated establishment censors news coming from the FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas) and explained how the Pakistani media protects the Pakistan army and its establishment from atrocities they have committed.

Speaking at the conference, Ismat Tareen from Quetta discussed the current crisis in Balochistan where a large number of people have gone missing and have been allegedly killed by the security forces and intelligence agencies. (ANI)
