Pakistan must stop funding JuD

Lahore [Pakistan], Feb.16 (ANI): Pakistan may have banned the Hafiz-Saeed Jamaat-ud-Dawa and its affiliate organizations, and also stopped them from receiving funds, but concerns still exist about the government sustaining this move.

According to The Nation, while the federal government of Pakistan can be commended for imposing a ban on all terrorist organisations and charities affiliated named by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), it must also stop all income generating channels.

The article says that Islamabad must be seen to be acting tough rather than initiating and publicizing moves aimed at appeasing global concerns and warding of international pressure.

"We will continue to move away from the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP). It goes without saying that the NAP is the necessity of the time and must not be ignored,"says the article. (ANI)
