Khadi-aatired models rock Nepal ramp

Kathmandu [Nepal], Nov 11 (ANI): Models raised temperatures while walking down the ramp dressed in Khadi attire at a Khadi Fashion show here.

The show was a part of the ongoing India- Nepal Folk Crafts Festival which concludes today.

Khadi was made popular by Mahatma Gandhi and is now fashion statement in Nepali and Indian.

"Today, we are extremely delighted that Khadi has become a household name worldwide and people are finding new ways to bring this tradition back with new fashion and other ways," said India's Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri.

"Khadi creates large employment opportunities in South Asia and should be showcased in a glamorous form so as to bring India and Nepal together," the Secretary General of the South Asia Foundation, Rahul Baruwa, told ANI. (ANI)
