Japan's Kyocera develops some world's smallest Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors

Kyoto [Japan], December 8. (ANI): Japan's Kyocera Corporation announced that it has developed new Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs), which are among world's smallest MLCCs for mobile devices.

According to the the leading Japanese electronic manufacturer, these high-Q devices offer new potential for creating smaller and more functional smartphones, wearables and related equipments.

Making an announcement after the big leap, company's President Hideo Tanimoto, said that they have reduced the space requirements by 60% in surface and 75% in total volume by launching the new CM01 Series of MLCCs.

The newly launched ultra-minatures is 0.25 x 0.125 x 0.125mm, which makes it one of the smallest ceramic capacitors in a 008004 case size.

The trend toward smaller, more highly functional telecommunications equipment has increased component requirements within smartphones, wearables and related devices - creating particular demand for ultra-miniature MLCCs to facilitate greater circuit densities.

One of the key advantages is, the ultra compact size reduces space requirements and can thus contribute greatly to the goal of delivering equivalent performance from smaller devices; or, delivering greater performance and functionality without increasing the circuit (or device) size.

Another prominent advantage is the tight tolerance with 20% increase in the Q-value.

Kyocera was listed in "Top 100 Global Innovators" by Clarivate Analytics this year and was also ranked 522 on Forbes magazine's "Global 2000" list of world's largest publicly traded companies. By combining these engineered materials with metals and integrating them with other technologies, Kyocera has become a leading supplier of electronic devices, semiconductor packages, cutting tools, industrial components, solar power generating systems, printers, copiers, and mobile phones.(ANI)
