English teacher gets Trump's letter, corrects grammar and sends it back

New Delhi: In a savage act, an English teacher who received a letter from US president Donald Trump, in turn, pointed out the mistakes and sent it back to the White House. In the wake of rising incidents of violence in schools, Trump had hosted parents and teachers at the White House to listen to their views regarding school safety. He then sent a letter to each one for their participation. However, a retired English teacher Yvonne Mason, 61, played savage and corrected Trump’s letter for the grammatical and spelling errors. The teacher scribbled the corrections all over the letter and sent it back to the White House. Among others, the teacher pointed out towards eleven mistakes of incorrect capitalisation of words like state, president, and nation. She wrote at the top of the printed letter: “Have Y'all tried grammar and style check” At one place where it was written “...and protect our Nation’s communities”, the teacher marked out the capital N and wrote: “not part of proper noun construction.” She wrote a note in the upper right corner which said: “Federal is capitalised only when used parts of proper noun. e.g the name of the agency, if referring to the Federal Government both words are capitalised” The last word of the letter was “Nation” and the teacher couldn’t help writing “OMG this is wrong!” Check the letter here.
