Blast in Kabul leaves one injured

Kabul [Afghanistan], August 25 (ANI): An explosion in Afghanistan's capital Kabul on Thursday night has left one person wounded.

The incident took place in the vicinity of the Sarai Shamali area of the city targetting a vehicle.

Interior Ministry spokesperson Najib Danish has confirmed the incident and said that a magnetic bomb, planted in a Land Cruiser type vehicle, went off, the Khaama Press reported.

The initial reports suggest that the driver of the targetted vehicle was slightly injured.

No individual or group has claimed the responsibility so far.

This comes even as the Taliban and the ISIS militants have been attempting to carry out huge attacks across the country.

The authorities are further investigating the matter.

Earlier in May, at least 80 people were killed and over 300 injured after a huge explosion rocked the diplomatic area of Kabul. The blast took place outside the German Embassy and very close to the Indian Embassy. (ANI)
