Anti-Pak protest by Baloch activists on International Human Rights Day

Busan [South Korea], Dec 10 (ANI): The Baloch Republican Party (BPR), South Korea Chapter held an anti-Pakistan demonstration in Busan city on the International Human Rights Day.

The protesters were holding placards demanding Pakistan to stop Baloch genocide and the ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan.

They shouted anti-Pakistan slogans with an aim to aware the world about human rights crimes against Baloch people.

In recent years, there has been a sudden rise in the number of extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances and violence against religious minorities in Balochistan. The incidents have increased since the launch of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The Baloch protesters also demanded Switzerland to review its decision of rejecting asylum to Baloch Republican Party President Nawab Brahamdagh Bugti.

Last month, the Switzerland Government had rejected Bugti's political asylum after a long wait of seven years.

"The aim of this protest is to raise awareness about the human rights violations in Balochistan. On December 10, we appeal to the United Nations, European Union and other civilized countries to break their silence on the human rights violations in Balochistan," BRP, South Korea Chapter President Ameer Baloch said.

"People in Balochistan are being kidnapped and their mutilated bodies are found. We appeal the United Nations to break its silence. Very recently, the sister and other family members of Baloch leader Dr. Allah Nazar were kidnapped", said Ameer.

On the International Human Rights Day, the Baloch, Sindhi and other minorities from Pakistan are organising peaceful demonstrations in parts of Europe, U.K. and America to make the international community aware of deteriorating human rights situation in Pakistan. (ANI)
