America set to delivery 88M flowers this valentine's day

Washington D.C. [U.S.A.], Feb. 14 (ANI): Turns out, Americans feel that flowers can convey their feelings of love like nothing else can.

It has come to light that UPS is expected to deliver 88 million flowers to significant others, spouses, and family members on the Valentine's Day.

To be specific, America will see about 8 million pounds or 5,14,000 boxes out for shipping on the Hallmark holiday.

According to a statement by UPS, about 55 percent of people will celebrate the holiday with an average spend of about 143.56 USD, which comes out to be roughly 7 USD more than what it was in 2017.

The National Retail Federation reported that average Americans will spend about 2 billion USD on flowers in 2018, which is roughly 10 percent of what people spend on Valentine's Day gift.

Also, the majority of estimated 19.6 billion USD spend will be shelled out on spouses and significant others which comes out to be around 12.1 billion USD.

Subsequently, Americans will spend the most on jewellery which is about 4.7 billion USD and on wine-and-dine with about 3.7 billion USD. (ANI)
