Viral Sach: Can you find your lost mobile phone yourself?

It is being claimed in a viral message that lost mobile phones could be found using this small technique. The message says every mobile phone has an IMEI number. A person can use this number to track his lost mobile phone. The viral post also told how this could be used to find out about the phone. The message claims *#06# would have to be dialed. 15 digit codes would be displayed. Don’t save the code. Write the following details in a mail Your name Your address Model of the phone Manufacturing date of the phone IMEI number Date of loss And send it to _*cop@vsnl.net*_ The message says a person doesn’t even need to report to police after this. Your phone would be tracked with 24 hours using GPRS. ABP News talked to experts in this regard. He said this is a way to fool people. Not only that you can be fooled, but the information you furnish may be misused. It can be used by criminals even. Expert Pawan Duggal said nobody should share the details or fall for this.
