At time when women in Uttar Pradesh are at the forefront of protests against liquor, BJP leader and UP minister Swati Singh has landed her party in a controversy by inaugurating a beer bar.
According to sources, the BJP legislator from Sarojani Nagar in Lucknow has inaugurated a beer bar of her friend in the state capital on May 20, photos of which went viral on social media.
Swati, in pictures, can be seen cutting a red ribbon with a group of people standing alongside her. She's facing flak on social media for her act.
Swati is the wife of former state BJP vice president Daya Shankar Singh, who was expelled following his derogatory remarks against BSP chief Mayawati in a public meeting in last year.
