PNB Scam: Meet the MASTERMIND Gokulnath Shetty

The mastermind of fraud worth Rs 11,500 crore is Gokulnath Shetty. He is the one who laid the foundation of the whole scam and made sure that Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi did not have any issues.

Gokulnath Shetty retired in 2017 as Deputy Manager of PNB Bank and is the main accused of the fraud. He worked for 36 years in Mumbai and took promotion JUST ONCE. CBI is questioning him to know the intricate details of the case.

As per ABP News' probe, Gokulnath Shetty came in contact with Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi in 2005. It was this year only when Gokulnath bought a 3-bhk house in Malad, Mumbai.

Despite the rule of Managers to be transferred every 5 years, Gokulnath Shetty remained in Mumbai branch of PNB since 2005 till 2017
