Viral Sach: Gurmehar Kaur associated with Aam Aadmi Party?
NEW DELHI: After DU student Gurmehar Kaur's social media campaign against the ABVP went viral and made national headlines, an image of Kargil martyr's daughter and her friend was widely shared on social media linking her to a political party.
In a picture circulated on internet, it was alleged that Kaur, 24, works with Aam Aadmi Party 'media cell member' Ram Subramanian, who is also her friend.
"So how Miss. Kaur is doing such fantastic acting? She is an AAP worker and works with with AAP media cell member Ram Subramanian. No other proof is needed," reads a message along with the picture showing Subramaniam with AAP leaders.
Ever since Kaur launched the campaign 'I am not afraid of ABVP', following the violence at Ramjas college, rivals stated questioning her stand and searching for a political connection.
However, AAP has categorically denied that Gurmehar is associated with the party.
There was anger and resentment among the youths of the country against the 'dual-faced' BJP. Gurmehar Kuar beacame the face which reflected this anger. Just to turn the debate other way araound RSS is trying to link her stand to politics," Deepak Bajpai, National media coordinator AAP, said.
"Linking Gurmehar to AAP is baseless. There's no truth in it," he added.
Though, it was revealed that Ram Subramanian, creator of the YouTube channel 'Voice of Ram', is associated with AAP and its leaders but Gurmehar has no connection with the party all.
