Amit Shah rolls out plan at BJP meet to clinch 360+ seats in 2019 Polls
Setting his sight on 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP chief Amit Shah on Thursday told party leaders and ministers that the party must aim at winning over 360 seats. Shah in his agenda 20 months ahead of the crucial polls said every leader will be assigned four to five constituencies. The meeting was called all of a sudden by the BJP chief and was attended by top BJP leaders and Union Ministers. The Mission 360 plan is to help the party in clearing certain bills in the Rajya Sabha where still it has to take support and consent from other parties. The focus will be on 150 seats which the party could not win in the previous election. States like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and West Bengal need to be paid more attention, he said. Shah has been conducting internal surveys every four months to analyze the party’s progress and weakness.
