Sidharth Shukla wins 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'

Mumbai: After undergoing over eight weeks of tasks that tested mental and physical strength in the breathtaking locations of Argentina, actor Sidharth Shukla was declared the winner of the stunt-based reality TV show "Khatron Ke Khiladi - Kabhi Peeda, Kabhi Keeda". Sidharth defeated his co-finalists Sana Saeed and Mukti Mohan to emerge at the top of the leader board. As the winner, the actor walked away with Rs.25 lakh in prize money along with a new Tata Tiago car. The "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" star is ecstatic about overcoming his fears and striving through injuries and quarrels in the Colors channel show. “I am glad that I managed to strive through it all - injuries, quarrels, and stunts involving a combination of speed, thrill and creepy crawlies. Today, I take with me not only my winnings but a truckload of memories and life’s lessons. What I experienced in Argentina with (host) Arjun Kapoor and my fellow 'khiladis' has been truly special,” Sidharth said in a statement. During the course of his journey in the show, Sidharth was a part of stunts which ranged from lifting crocodiles to even being dragged by a race car at great speed. The finale stunt saw Sidharth scale different elements including water, air and fire in a race against time. "Khatron Ke Khiladi", an adaptation of the American television show "Fear Factor" which features celebrity contestants facing their fears, saw actor Arjun Kapoor's debut into the small screen as a host. The "Gunday" star stated that "the show will always be special to me; it’s been my first outing on the small screen and I can’t wait to do something like this again.” “Having Arjun Kapoor join us for this season allowed us to add the perfect amount of 'keeda' and 'peeda' for the contestants. He has been a surprise package and a superlative host,” said Manisha Sharma, programming head, Colors. The show also featured a string of TV celebrities like Tina Dutta, Mahhi Vij, Aishwarya Sakhuja, Faisal Khan, Raghav Juyal, Yuvraj Walmiki, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Vivan Bhatena, Tanisha Mukherji, Jay Bhanushali, Vivian Dsena and Himanshoo Malhotra.
