New Delhi: Complete TV industry went in shock when they got the news of Pratyusha Banerjee’s suicide on 1st April 2016. Gorgeous actress Pratyusha gave up on her life in her Goregaon residence. The actress’ friends spoke out against the alleged torture by her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, whose behaviour was apparently the major cause of her depression. Pratyusha’s best friend and popular TV actress Kamya Punjabi will release a short film ‘Hum Kuchh Keh Na Sake’ in the memory of her late friend on her first death Anniversary. Actress just released the promo of short film on her Instagram account and it’s heart-rending. Sharing the promo, Kamya wrote “Miss you my chhotu #pratyushabanerjee #1stapril Https:// thank you @neerushaa_nikhat 🙏 for making this film... tum naa hoti toh yeh yaadien naa hoti...!!!”
Talking to a leading daily, Kamya said “Though a work of fiction, it will seem quite similar to what Pratyusha must have gone through. She will be seen heartbroken, resorting to vices like drinking and smoking. As a narrator, I will interlink her reel and real lives, and question viewers on why people change in love and choose to remain silent sufferers. Pratyusha didn't use glycerine while shooting the emotional scenes. I too was nursing heartbreak at that time.” The name of the male lead in the film is Rahul and Kamya said that it was Pratyusha's decision to give this name to the character. Actress also added ““I wish we had spoken about our problems. I felt helpless watching the film. We couldn't shoot the climax as she ended her life before that,” she signs off.” Kamya is the narrator in this shirt film and this was Pratyusha’s last project before she ended her life. Pratyusha Banerjee rose to fame with Colors TV show 'Balika Vadhu', in which she played the role of Anandi.
