Talking to Bombay Times, the 'Shakti' actress said, "Though a work of fiction, it will seem quite similar to what Pratyusha must have gone through. She will be seen heartbroken, resorting to vices like drinking and smoking. As a narrator, I will interlink her reel and real lives". The film bears striking resemblance to the 'Balika Vadhu' actress' life and death. I’ve a record of all of Pratyusha’s activities in the months before I lost her. She was always with me. We went together to Ranchi for my brother’s child’s naming ceremony. Then we went to Goa. When did Pratyusha shoot this so-called film with Kamya?” Slamming Kamya Punjabi, Rahul called the film a 'cruel joke'. "This is nothing but an attempt to make money in a dead person’s name. How can this woman continue to use Pratyusha’s name to get publicity?" he said. Rahul added that he is planning to write a book on Pratyusha. Kamya blames Rahul for Pratyusha's suicide and even the actress' parents back the claim. On the other hand, Rahul alleges that Pratyusha's parents were the reason behind her death.
