My depression after heartbreak could have killed me: Kamya Punjabi

NEW DELHI: Kamya Punjabi is one of the outspoken ladies of TV industry who never minces her words. The actress recently announced release of a short film 'Hum Kuch Keh Naa Sakey' featuring her bestie late Pratyusha Banerjee. The film will release online on April 1 on Pratyusha's first death anniversary. Kamya who once dated 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' actor Karan Patel has opened up about heartbreak in an interview to Spotboye.com. She also spoke about the time when Karan ditched her to marry another TV actress Ankita Bhargava. "Trust me, I still can't forget the depression that Pratyusha was undergoing in her last days. I myself underwent a depression around the same time because I had a heartbreak. He simply walked out on me when my world revolved around him. Without my knowledge, he was having an affair," said the actress. "Do you know that I had gone into a depression when my man left me in the lurch? It was a depression of the worst kind, it could have killed me. I couldn't step out of my room for many days," she added. Talking to the entertainment portal, the 'Shakti-Astitiva Ke Ehsaas Ki' actress said that earnings from the film will go to Pratyusha's parents. "Does that answer Rahul's charge that I am releasing a film on Pratyusha to make money?" says Kamya. Watch the trailer of the short film
