New Delhi [India], July 17 (ANI): Maratha Yoddhas make a terrific comeback to register a win in their first match of the ongoing Super Boxing League (SBL), beating Mumbai Assassins with a margin of 10-9 in Group B.

It was the Mumbai Assassins who started the match strongly as they won the first three bouts of the night through Asif Asad Khan, Pawan Goyat and Manjit Kolekar to establish a 9-0 lead.

However, the Maratha Yoddhas made a stunning comeback through captain Deepak Tanwar, Vivek Jangra and Sandeep Chhikara to beat Mumbai Assassins 10-9 on the night.

The difference between the two sides was Sandeep Chhikara who beat Mumbai Assassins' skipper Ram Singh by a Technical Knock Out in the last bout of the match to get the all-important 4 points.

Delhi Gladiators also impressed again as they won second consecutive match of tournament to beat the struggling UP Terminators 19-0 in Group A.

The lead was then extended to six points as Vanlalawmpuia beat Md Mostafa in an impressive fashion in the Welter Weight category to win his first match of the league.

The trend of Gladiators winning their bouts continued as Shivani Dahiya, captain Pawan Maan, Gaganpreeet Sharma and Deepak Malik, won their respective matches to give the Gladiators a 19-0 win on the night and their second win of the tournament.

The other match in Group A saw Haryana Warriors open their account as they won against OPM Punjab Sultans 15-6.
