WATCH: Steve Smith suffers 'brainfade 2.0
New Delhi: Australia lost two quick wickets just before the end of day 4 and the two overnight batting pair of Steve Smith and Matt Renshaw had a mammoth task of batting throughout the day 5 to take Australia to safety. Steve Smith played an outstanding innings of 178 runs in the first innings and another gritty performance was expected from the Australian skipper but in the 30th over of the Australia’s 2nd innings, the 28-year-old misjudged a Ravindra Jadeja delivery, allowing the ball to hit his stumps. This turned out to be another incident of ‘Brainfade’ for Steve Smith. Earlier, the Asutralia skipper had sparked controversy in the Bengaluru test by looking at the dressing room to get assistance on DRS call.
