New Delhi: Indian pacer Shardul Thakur had moment to forget during Rising Pune Supergiant clash with Kolkata Knight Riders in Pune on Wednesday. Thakur snatched the one of the most embarrassing wides in cricket history
The Incident took place during the Rising Pune Supergiant's seven-wicket loss to Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. Thakur was bowling to Kolkata’s danger man Robin Uthappa when the ball slipped out of his hand and went running down leg side, before clearing the boundary ropes.
Thakur finished with 0-31 from 3.1 overs. And Pune’s performance almost matched the wide with the Knight Riders handing them a seven wicket thrashing, chasing down the 183-run target with 11 balls to spare.
Robin Uthappa and skipper Gautam Gambhir struck unbeaten half-centuries to power Kolkata Knight Riders to the top of the standings with a comfortable seven wicket win over Rising Pune Supergiant in an IPL match
Uthappa made 87 off 47 balls while Gambhir scored 62 off 46 balls as the duo stitched 158 runs off just 85 balls for the second wicket to power KKR to the comprehensive victory.
