VIDEO: Pakistan's Imran Khan scores 1st run in 8 matches; creates record for the longest wait New Delhi: Pakistan fast bowlers Imran Khan junior today scored his first run in Test cricket in 8 matches, claiming the record for the longest wait to get off the mark in the history of the game. The 29 year old right arm medium pacer etched his name on the record books with a thick outside edge to thirdman off Tim Southee on Day 3 of the second Test between New Zealand and Pakistan in Hamilton. Imran, who was well aware of the fact even raised his bat to acknowledge the crowd who cheered his first run. Imran made his debut against Australia in 2004 and amazingly it took the young man more than 2 years and 8 matches to score his first run in Test cricket. He was eventually out for 6 and Pakistan ended up with 216 in reply to New Zealand’s 271.
