Trailer of Sachin Tendulkar's biopic launched and it has already become a rage

New Delhi: The trailer of Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” has been launched on Thursday at 7 pm. As promised the movie tracks the life of Sachin Tendulkar, right from his childhood to the Indian cricket team. Sachin himself had announced on Tuesday that the trailer will be launched on April 13. The trailer is a fan’s delight – It starts with Sachin’s notorious activates as a child and carries on to his dream of lifting the World Cup. One can’t help but indulge in nostalgia, when Sachin used to be the heart and brain of the Indian cricket team. "This film has helped me relive the important moments of my life through its making! I remain a private person but realised that there is much I have not revealed or spoken about, to those who have been instrumental to my life and career, especially my fans," Tendulkar told the mediapersons. "I hope the film will be yet another avenue for fans who have showered their love and blessings on me, to cherish the journey that we undertook together for over 24 years," he said. Not only Sachin’s cricketing life but the movie focuses on Sachin’s life as a whole. The trailer also gives importance to Sachin’s wife Anjali and his kids Arjun and Sana, who sacrificed a lot for the little master. Interestingly, the 2 minute and 14 seconds trailer spends considerable amount of time on Indian’s cricket’s darkest era – the match fixing saga during 1998-99 season. The film has been directed by James Erskine and AR Rahman has given the background score. The movie hits the theatres on May 25, 2017.
