Tests can be rescheduled considering air pollution: BCCI secy

New Delhi [India] December 4 (ANI): In the wake of Delhi's air pollution levels taking centre stage during the third and final test match between India and Sri Lanka, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary, Amitabh Chaudhary on Monday said scheduling of the matches could be considered in the national capital keeping in view the existing pollution condition.

Speaking at a press conference, Chaudhary said, "Pollution matter is something which affects the entire city. However the scheduling of the matches in Delhi can be considered keeping in view the conditions since last two to three days."

The statement comes after the opponent team, Sri Lanka, was seen playing with a mask on in the Kotla Test.

The match, which was being played at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi, was disrupted multiple times, albeit briefly, on Sunday with India eventually declaring the innings for 536/7.

Meanwhile, Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun on Sunday said the Indian cricket team was focussed on playing the match and achieving for the country. (ANI)
