New Delhi: In of the most shocking incidents taken place on a tennis court, a Barbados tennis player Darian King has been disqualified in the first round of the Charlottesville Men's Pro Challenger for throwing his racquet that hit a lineswoman.

The 22-year-old angrily reacted to a lost point to Great Britain's Edward Corrie by hurling his racquet towards the tarpaulin on the court but it rebounded and hit the lineswoman’s back.

She was shocked to see it falling on her and went down on the floor screaming in pain.

King was heard repeatedly saying to the umpire: “I didn’t hit her.”

The woman was given medical treatment on the court. Luckily, she didn’t suffer from any serious injury.
