New Delhi: India suffered a bating-collapse against Pakistan in the ICC Champions trophy final on Sunday. Pakistan humiliated India by 180 runs to lift their maiden Champions Trophy title. Indian team failed to impress in all departments with Bowlers conceding 338 runs in the first innings and the worst happened when the batters could only reach 158 in 30.3 overs before surrendering the title. Only bright spot India could take from the shambolic defeat was Hardik Pandya brilliant knock of 76 runs off just 43 deliveries. The 23-year-old hit half a dozen of sixes to provide some entertainment, before being run-out due to a horrible mix-up with Jadeja. It was largely Jaderja’s mistake who did not respond to Pandya’s call and didn’t sacrifice his wicket. Had Pandya stayed on the pitch for few more minutes, the course of the match could have changed. The hard hitting all-rounder took to twitter to express his displeasure with the dismissal. Pandya wrote, “Hume to apno ne loota, gairo me kahan dum tha (We were robbed by our own, the others didn't have the ability).”
