Good cricket was on display on Day 1 of the 1st Test between India and New Zealand, and Day 2 is expected to be equally exciting. India scored 291 for 9 on Day 1 with fifties coming from Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara. For Kiwis, Trent Boult and Mitchell Santner took three wickets each.



NEW ZEALAND (1st innings)


3.50 pm: Play has been called off, and will resume at 9.15 am tomorrow (Saturday). New Zealand 152/1 in 47 overs. Latham 56 (137b 5x4 0x6), Williamson 65 (115b 7x4 0x6).

3.30 pm: The BCCI have tweeted that there will be an inspection at 3.45 pm
