Kohli takes road walk with batting pads on, fans awestruck
New Delhi: India skipper Virat Kohli has won fans the world over and especially in the Indian sub-continent. He was once again reminded of that love few days before India’s first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle. The 28-year-old, who blazed into record books with his explosive batting over the last the few years, was hounded by fans when he walked down the streets of Colombo with his pads on. The skipper took a road walk to stadium with Indian opener Cheteshwar Pujara where the team is playing a two-day practice match against Sri Lanka Board’s President XI. As they walked down the path, fans immediately took out their phones to take pictures with the cricketers. Some fans managed selfies from far, while couple fans grabbed selfies from close distance before security guard moved them. India are in Sri Lanka for 3 Tests, 5 ODI’s and 1 T20. The series will kick start from July 26, with first Test match to be played in Galle.
