Khelo India's official anthem released

New Delhi [India], Jan. 16 (ANI): Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Rathore launched the official anthem for Khelo India Games on Monday.

The anthem has been conceptualised by Ogilvy, composed by Louis Bank and the film has been produced by Nirvana Films.

Meanwhile, the schedule of Khelo India School Games 2018 was also unveiled at an event in the national capital.

The Khelo India official Twitter handle was also activated on Monday and the video of the anthem of the games was posted as the first tweet.

The school games will be held at multiple venues in Delhi. The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex are among the venues, where the games will be held.

The school games encompass 16 sports disciplines such as Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Shooting, Swimming, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wrestling.

Unveiling the anthem, Rathore said, "Khelo India is a unique programme which is focused on building a strong ecosystem for sports and is committed to the long-term professional development of athletes. We aim to take this initiative to as many sportspersons and aspirants across the country as possible."

The opening ceremony of the programme will be held in New Delhi on January 31. The programme will conclude on February 8.

The 'Khelo India' programme, was launched by former Sports Minister Vijay Goel, but was later revamped by his successor Rathore. (ANI)
