IPL 10: Delhi Daredevils register thumping win over Rising Pune Supergiant
Photo: @BCCI New Delhi: Delhi Daredevils defeated rising Pune Supergiant by 97 runs. It was the second defeat in a row for Pune. Skipper Zaheer Khan and Amit Mishra grabbed three wickets each while Pat Cummins clinched two to dismantle the hosts on 108 RPS were without their star batsman and Skipper Steve Smith, who missed out due to bas stomach. After having put to bat first, Delhi Daredevils added 205 runs on the board. Youngster Sanju Samson stole the show with a brilliant knock of 102 runs in 63 deliveries. The 22-year-old batsman smashed his first ever IPL hundred. This was also the first hundred of IPL 10. His innings included 4 sixes and 8 fours. Samson stitched 53 run stand with 19-year-old Rishabh Pant and later adding 42 runs with New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson. Later it was Chris Morris who helped Delhi Daredevils cross 200- run mark with stunning innings of 38 runs in just 9 deliveries. Tahir, Zampa and Chahar grabbed one wicket each for Rising Pune Supergiant. The Pune based franchise have now lost 2 games in three matches while Delhi Daredevils have won their first game of the tournament.
