IND V AUS Day 2 Lunch report: India strangle Australia to remain in the match

New Delhi: India came back strong and hard led by a rejuvenated R Ashwin to strangle Australia at Lunch on Day 2 of the second Test at Benglauru. Resuming the day at 40/0, Australia were up against a stubborn India, who did not allow their batsman to score any free runs. Australia could only manage 47 runs in 29 overs and lost two of their best batsmen – Steve Smith and David Warner to be at 87/2 at Lunch. Ashwin used the over-the-wicket ploy against the Aussie openers brilliantly to tie them up. In the 22nd over he got one to zip off the rough which knocked Warner’s off stump out of the ground. The day was not short of any action as the Indian seamers showed a lot of aggression. The session took a decisiove turn towards India when Jadeja removed Smith thanks to brilliant catch by keeper Saha. Australia still trail India by 102 runs.
