Excited to play for India again: Gambhir

New Delhi: Gautam Gambhir will replace injured Lokesh Rahul for the remaining two Test matches against New Zealand. Gambhir took social media handle to express gratitude to BCCI and supporters. The Delhi born cricketer wrote on his twitter account, “Nothing beats playing again for the country. Test cricket, red ball and India cap again. Eden here I come with loaded ambitions.” "Excitement of a debutant, certainty of the experienced, nervousness of a novice. I can feel it all." Gambhir wrote on twitter   Gautam enjoyed tremendous form in domestic cricket, which earned him a spot in the Test squad. Gambhir scored 356 runs in 5 innings with an average of 71.20, forcing selector to consider his name for  replacement. Gambhir played his last match against England at the Ovals in 2014 scoring only three runs in 2 innings. Gautam Gambhir, on Tuesday passed his fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore and will head to Kolkata for the match against New Zealand on 30th September. Also, Jayant Yadav, the 26 year old right arm off-spinner has been called in to replace Ishant Sharma, who continues suffer from chikungunya.
