# For the eighth time, West Indies have been asked to follow-on in a home Test - three times each vs India and England, twice vs Australia. The last time they were asked to follow-on was also against the visiting Indians at St Lucia in June 2006.

# India have enforced a follow-on vs West Indies six times. Of the previous five instances, India won two Tests while the remaining three could not produce results.

# While batting first, the 323-run lead is India's fourth highest in an away Test - the second highest vs West Indies behind the 373-run lead at Gros Islet in June 2006.

# Wriddhiman Saha is the third Indian wicketkeeper to effect six dismissals in a Test innings, joining Syed Kirmani (vs New Zealand at Christchurch in February 1976) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (vs New Zealand at Wellington in April 2009).

# Saha is the first wicketkeeper to effect six dismissals in a Test innings in the Caribbean.

# Saha is the first Indian wicketkeeper to be associated in the dismissals of the top five batsmen in a Test innings.

# For the first time, two Indian fast bowlers (Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami) have taken four wickets or more in a Test innings in the West Indies.

# In all, fourteen instances have been recorded when two Indian speedsters have taken four wickets or more in a Test innings - nine instances outside the subcontinent.

# Umesh Yadav (4/41) has produced his second best bowling performance in Tests behind the 5 for 93 vs Australia at Perth in January 2012.

# Mohammed Shami (4/66) has registered his best bowling figures vs West Indies in Tests, obliterating the 4 for 71 at Kolkata in November 2013.

# The above figures are Shami's second best in overseas Test next only to the 5 for 112 vs Australia at Sydney in January 2015. 

# Mohammed Shami has taken 51 wickets at an average of 34.64 in 13 Tests.  He has emulated Venkatesh Prasad's feat, who had figures of 54 wickets (ave.27.29) after 13 Tests. Both share an Indian record by a pacer for the quickest to 50. 

# Kraigg Brathwaite (74) has posted his highest score vs India, surpassing the 68 at Mumbai in November 2011.

# Brathwaite's third fifty vs India is his ninth in Tests.

# Since posting 116 by Brathwaite vs England at St.George's in April 2015, the above innings is the first fifty by a West Indian opener in a home Test.

# Brathwaite is the second West Indian opener to post a fifty and capture three wickets in an innings in the same Test. Chris Gayle has accomplished the feat six times – three times vs Pakistan twice vs New Zealand and once vs England.

# Shane Dowrich, in his first Test innings as a wicketkeeper, has posted a fifty (57 not out) - his second highest score in Tests behind the 70 vs Australia at Roseau in June 2015.

# Jason Holder's 36 is his second highest score as Captain in Tests behind the 68 vs Australia at Melbourne in December 2015.

# Jermaine Blackwood has registered three ducks in his last six innings in Tests.

# Since posting 92 vs Sri Lanka at Galle in October 2015, Blackwood is without a Test fifty in eight innings.  

# Dowrich and Holder were involved in a 69-run stand - the highest eighth-wicket partnership in Tests at North Sound, obliterating the 65 (unbroken) between Mitchell Johnson and Brett Lee for Australia vs West Indies in 2008.

# Darren Bravo is the 24th West Indian batsman to manage 3000 runs in Tests - his tally being 3009 (ave.41.21) in 43 Tests.
