AIFF official website hacked by Pakistani group, posts images of Kulbhushan Jadhav

New Delhi:  In a major embarrassment for The All India Football Federation, its official website got hacked and showed derogatory messages. The website portrayed images of Kulbhushan Jadhav, the Indian navy officer who was confined with death sentence after getting arrested in Pakistan. He was allegedly accused of spying and acting as a secret agent for RAW. The hacking appears to have been conducted by a Pakistani hacker group which used expletives in the post and said “we will send you his dead body.” The website hacking comes at a time when Kulbhushan’s death sentence was given a stay order by International Court of Justice. There has been no official statement issued by the AIFF as of now as to whoever could be responsible for the hacking or how it took place. The website was down for quite some time before getting restored. The hacking came to notice when social media was flooded with screenshots of the derogatory and anti-India messages appearing on the home page of the AIFF official website, mostly diminishing India’s demands of reviewing the death sentenced announced for Jadhav.
