Cricket Australia announced their squad for the U-19 World Cup which is scheduled to take place in the beginning of 2018.
Jason Sangha has been named as the skipper to lead the Australia’s U-19 squad
The selection committee has also included Australian legend Steve Waugh’s son Austin in the 15-member squad.
Austin plays a role of right-arm batsman and bowls a right-arm medium pace, just like his father.
Austin will have great opportunity to emulate his father’s illustrious career, who led the Aussie to 1999 World Cup title and was also a part of the 1987 World Cup winning side.
The U-19 World Cup is set to begin on January 13 and ends on February 3.
Australia will launch their campaign against India, who were the runners up in the previous edition.
