Sunil Shetty’s father Veerapa passes away at 93

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty’s world turned upside down as his father passed away on Wednesday morning at 1:30am. Sunil Shetty’s father Veerappa breathed his last at the Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. Veerappa was not keeping well from quite some time  and when his health deteriorated, he was rushed to the hospital. Veerapa suffered a massive paralytic stroke in 2013 and Sunil set up an entire ICU at his residence for his fast recovery. It was also the same time when Sunil’s daughter was gearing up for her big Bollywood debut, but the actor gave more importance to his father. Bollywood actor was very much close to his father. In year 2013, in an interview to HT, Sunil said that his father is his real hero. At that time, he was present in Worli to launch his showroom in a building, he said he shared a special attachment with. He said “This is where my father, Veerappa Shetty, used to work. He used to clean plates here since he worked as a waiting boy at a restaurant. My father is my real hero. He started working at the age of nine. He used to sleep on flattened mustard sacks and used a rolled-up gunny bag as a pillow.” Veerappa’s cremation will be held today.
